A relief army of Poles and Cossacks has arrived and deployed to defeat the Ottomans and break the siege. "A near run thing..." WWI Naval |
Computer moderated Fear God and Dread Nought | Lamont Anderson | 2-8 |
| Game Description: RADM Evan-Thomas watched from the deck of the Barham as Beatty sped across his bow, his remaining battlecruisers in tow. On the horizon was the Scouting Squadron, a force of battlecruisers under von Hipper. What Beatty knew, and Evan-Thomas did not, was that the whole High Seas Fleet of the Kaiser was just over the horizon. For 30 minutes, von Hipper traded shots with Evan-Thomas's Queen Elizabeth class dreadnoughts, the best ships in the RN. In this scenario, von Hipper will eventually get the support of Behncke's 3rd Battle Squadron (four Konig class dreadnoughts), which has forged ahead of the rest of the fleet. Can Evan-Thomas, with some cruiser support (is Goodenough good enough?) dispense with the battlecruisers before he must face the Konigs? Four QE dreadnoughts against five battlecruisers and four Konigs- it is possible the Germans are at disadvantage here. Come and feel the dark side of a QE broadside at medium range. | |||
